I do so love my home comforts.
As a child, I remember frequent blackouts, strikes and ice on the inside of the windows.
My current home is all electric. When I moved in, I bought a butane camping stove and a whistling kettle. I can live on sandwiches, but I'm a cow without coffee.
Today, my own 13 year old returned home from a camping trip with the Army cadets. They give them matches and rifles. Don't worry - Dad is on call as the emergency contact.
In the field, camping under the stars, cadets are also issued ration packs. I found uneaten items in her suitcase. See photo above.
I will keep them carefully stored because at heart, I'm a wanna be prepper.
First day of the apocalypse? Sorted.
